Method

Preparing the Whiskey Pork Loin

  1. 1

    Marinate the Pork

In a bowl, combine whiskey, brown sugar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and add the pork loin, ensuring it is coated evenly. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated pork loin on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer the pork to a baking dish and roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Making the Brandied Apples

  1. 3

    Sauté the Apples

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced apples, brandy, cinnamon, and sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 10 minutes.

Preparing Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 4

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, add the cubed potatoes and enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain the potatoes.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Return the drained potatoes to the pot. Add minced garlic, butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Sautéing Fresh Vegetables

  1. 6

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the mixed vegetables, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Assembling the Garden Salad

  1. 7

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber slices. Toss gently to mix. Serve with a choice of 2 dressings.

Serving Rolls and Beverages

  1. 8

    Prepare Rolls

Warm the dinner rolls in the oven for a few minutes if desired. Serve with butter on the side.

  2. 9

    Serve Beverages

Brew tea and coffee as per your preference. Prepare lemonade in a pitcher and serve chilled.

Dessert

  1. 10

    Serve Dessert

Choose a dessert and serve at the end of the meal.
