Method

Kabob Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Meat

Cut the beef sirloin or chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and add to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the mushrooms, red onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper into similar sizes to the meat cubes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Kabobs

Thread the marinated meat and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between meat and vegetables.

Cooking the Kabobs

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Grill the Kabobs

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the meat is fully cooked and vegetables are tender.

Wild Rice Pilaf Preparation

  1. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion, celery, and carrot. Sauté until softened.

  2. 8

    Cook the Rice

Add wild rice and vegetable broth to the saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 45-50 minutes until the rice is tender.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Serve the grilled kabobs over a bed of wild rice pilaf alongside mixed seasonal vegetables. Offer dressing on the side.

  2. 10

    Add Extras
