Crust Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Crust Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 0.5 cup of sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.

Form the Crust
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

Bake the Crust
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool while preparing the filling.
Filling Preparation

Beat Cream Cheese
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

Add Sugar and Mix
Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar and continue to beat until well incorporated.

Incorporate Sour Cream and Vanilla
Add sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

Add Eggs
Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.

Sprinkle in the all-purpose flour and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the batter.

Pour into Crust
Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking the Cheesecake

Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.

Cool and Chill
Once baked, turn off the oven and crack the oven door, allowing the cheesecake to cool for 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

If desired, top the cheesecake with sliced strawberries and drizzle with strawberry sauce just before serving.
