Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Season the Steak
Sprinkle the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling.
- 2
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to a high heat, around 450°F (232°C).
- 3
- 4
Rest the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.
French Fries Preparation
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into long, thin strips to make fries.
- 6
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This will help them become crispier when cooked.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Drain and pat the potatoes dry with paper towels. Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.
Garlic Butter Preparation
- 9
Make Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and cook gently until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in freshly chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
