Method

Prepare the Salmon

  1. 1

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

  3. 3

    Sear the Salmon

Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

  4. 4

    Flip the Fillets

Gently flip the salmon fillets using a spatula and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Prepare the Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 5

    Chop the Vegetables

Trim the ends of the asparagus and cut the carrots into thin slices. Slice the bell pepper into strips and mince the garlic cloves.

  2. 6

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet used for the salmon, add the asparagus, carrots, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Serve the Dish

  1. 7

    Plate the Salmon and Vegetables

On a plate, place the pan-seared salmon fillet next to the sautéed seasonal vegetables.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Garnish the dish with lemon wedges and sprinkle fresh parsley over the top before serving.
