Eggroll Filling

Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce

Method

Preparing the Eggroll Filling

  1. 1

    Cook the Pork

In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add the ground pork and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Add Vegetables

Add shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and minced ginger to the skillet with the cooked pork. Stir to combine.

  3. 3

    Season the Mixture

Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil, then season with salt and black pepper. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened. Remove from heat and let cool.

Assembling the Eggrolls

  1. 4

    Prepare the Wrappers

Lay an eggroll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the pork filling in the center of the wrapper.

  2. 5

    Roll the Eggroll

Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll away from you tightly. Use a little water to seal the top corner.

  3. 6

    Repeat

Repeat with the remaining filling and wrappers.

Cooking the Eggrolls

  1. 7

    Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 8

    Fry the Eggrolls

Carefully add eggrolls to the hot oil in batches, frying for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Making the Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce

  1. 9

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
