Chicken Marinade

1. Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

2. Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken breasts to the buttermilk mixture, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight for the best flavor.

3. Prepare the Breading

In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

4. Bread the Chicken

Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere. Place on a wire rack and let rest for 15 minutes.

Crispy Slaw

5. Make the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and toss to coat. Set aside.

Chipotle Ranch Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the ranch dressing, minced chipotle, and lime juice until smooth. Set aside.

Cooking the Chicken

Sandwich Assembly
