Burger Assembly

Method

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Cook the Patties

In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook the Impossible Burger patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and heated through.

  2. 2

    Add Cheese

In the final minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked gouda on each patty and cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt.

Caramelize the Onions

  1. 3

    Prepare the Onions

    Slice the medium onion thinly.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Onions

In a separate skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are deeply caramelized and golden brown.

Make Roasted Red Pepper Mayonnaise

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped roasted red peppers, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder until well combined.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Bun

Slice the brioche buns in half and toast them lightly if desired.

  2. 7

    Layer Ingredients

Spread a generous amount of roasted red pepper mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty with melted gouda on top, followed by a layer of caramelized onions.

  3. 8

    Add Fresh Ingredients

Top the burger with slices of fresh tomato and a handful of mixed greens. Cover with the top half of the bun.
