Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Dry using a salad spinner or pat gently with paper towels. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

Caesar Dressing Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Dressing

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic cloves (finely chopped), lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Garlic Crouton Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the French bread into small cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through for even baking.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In the large bowl with the chopped romaine, add the prepared Caesar dressing and toss until the lettuce is well coated. Add the garlic croutons and toss gently to combine. Top the salad with shredded Asiago cheese.

  2. 5

    Serve

Serve the Caesar salad immediately, garnished with additional Asiago cheese if desired.
