Method

Salad

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and diced cucumber. Crumble feta cheese on top.

  2. 2

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Toss the Salad

Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Set aside.

Sides

  1. 4

    Roast the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and cut the potatoes into wedges. Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Bake the Potatoes

Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.

  3. 6

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and wash them thoroughly. Toss with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 7

    Sauté the Green Beans

In a large skillet, sauté the green beans over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, until tender but still crisp.

Bread

  1. 8

    Prepare the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. Add flour, salt, and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.

  2. 9

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth.

  3. 10

    Let Dough Rise

Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

  4. 11

    Shape the Bread

Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.

  5. 12

    Second Rise

Cover the loaf and let it rise again for 30-45 minutes.

  6. 13

    Bake the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the loaf for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
