Stuffed Mushroom Caps

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth, remove the stems, and set the caps aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and then the Italian sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Mix the Filling

In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Stuffing the Mushrooms

  1. 5

    Fill the Caps

Take the mushroom caps and fill each one generously with the prepared filling mixture.

  2. 6

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the stuffed mushroom caps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Mushrooms

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

  2. 8

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
