Chop the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Peel and cube the potatoes.

Prepare the Ingredients

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

Brown the Meat

Add chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and celery to the pot. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables soften.

Add Vegetables

Stir in the potatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil.

Combine Remaining Ingredients

Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Simmer the Dish

Remove the bay leaf before serving. Ladle the comfort food into bowls and enjoy!

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and bell pepper, and sauté for 5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Cook the Meat

Add ground beef to the pot. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

Add diced tomatoes and kidney beans to the pot. Stir well to combine and let simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.

Incorporate Other Ingredients

Ladle the chili into bowls and top with shredded cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and chopped green onions. Serve hot.

Start by laying out the two slices of sourdough bread on a clean cutting board.

Prepare the Bread

Spread mayonnaise on one slice and mustard on the other.

On the mayonnaise side, layer the turkey breast, followed by the Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato slices.

Layer the Ingredients

Sprinkle salt and pepper over the tomato slices.

Place the mustard-covered slice of bread on top to close the sandwich.
