Prepare the Glass
Start by rubbing the rim of a chilled glass with a lime wedge. Then, dip the rim into salt to coat it evenly.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of lime juice, 1 oz of triple sec, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup.

Add Ice
Fill the cocktail shaker with 1 cup of ice and secure the lid.

Shake Well
Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice, if desired.

Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
