Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef with 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black pepper, and 1 tsp of garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into three equal portions (about 1/3 pound each) and shape them into round patties, making a slight indent in the center of each patty.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of your choice of cheese on top of each patty and cover to allow the cheese to melt.

Fry Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Fries

While the burgers are cooking, prepare the fries according to the package instructions, typically by baking or frying until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Season the Fries

Once cooked, remove the fries from the oven or fryer and season them with salt to taste.

Burger Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Place a cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Top with slices of pickles, tomato, lettuce, and onion. Cover with the top half of the bun.
