Method
Prime Rib Preparation
- 1
Season the Prime Rib
Start by preheating your oven to 450°F (232°C). In a small bowl, mix together the kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil and then coat it generously with the spice mixture.
- 2
Sear the Prime Rib
Heat a large skillet over high heat and sear the prime rib on all sides until browned (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- 3
Roast the Prime Rib
Place the seared prime rib in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Then lower the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue to roast for an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- 4
Rest the Prime Rib
Remove the prime rib from the oven and tent it with aluminum foil. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Eggs Preparation
- 5
Cook the Eggs
In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet, being careful not to break the yolks. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook the eggs until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny, approximately 3-4 minutes.
