Seafood Preparation

Battered Halibut Preparation
If using halibut, cut it into strips. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually whisk in cold water until the batter is smooth. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

Battered Shrimp Preparation
If using shrimp, season with cajun seasoning. In a separate bowl, prepare the same batter as for the halibut. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

Dip the halibut or shrimp in the batter and gently place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

In a large bowl, shred the green cabbage and carrot. Add chopped cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, dijon mustard, hot sauce, and chopped pickles. Stir until well blended.

Warm the corn tortillas in a skillet. Fill each tortilla with fried seafood, top with Mexican coleslaw, a dollop of spicy tartar sauce, and pico de gallo. Serve with fries on the side.
