Method

Pork Chop Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Bread the Pork Chops

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with a beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each pork chop in flour, dip into the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Fry the Pork Chops

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add breaded pork chops and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

Caramelized Onions Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté the Onions

Slice the yellow onions thinly. In the same skillet used for the pork chops, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and salt. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 5

    Caramelize the Onions

Once the onions are soft and starting to brown, add brown sugar and continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes until they are deep golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat.

Bacon Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate pan, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on the inside of each sandwich bun. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half, followed by the crispy pork chop, a generous scoop of caramelized onions, and 2 pieces of crispy bacon. Top with the other half of the bun.
