Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub this mixture generously over the baby back ribs on both sides.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  3. 3

    Wrap the Ribs

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil, making sure they are sealed well to retain moisture.

  4. 4

    Slow Cook the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for 3 hours, until they are tender and fall off the bone.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Finishing Touches

  1. 7

    Coat the Ribs

After the ribs have cooked for 3 hours, remove them from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs on both sides.

  2. 8

    Broil the Ribs

Place the ribs under the broiler for about 5-10 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.

  3. 9

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
