Main Ingredient

Butter Sauce

Method

Preparing the Lobster

  1. 1

    Thaw the Lobster

If using frozen lobster tails, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or submerge them in cold water for about 30-60 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Lobster Tail

Using kitchen scissors, cut down the top shell of the lobster tail, exposing the meat. Be careful not to cut the meat itself. Gently pull the meat up and rest it on top of the shell.

Making the Butter Sauce

  1. 3

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until fully liquefied.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic

Finely mince the garlic clove and add it to the melted butter. Allow it to cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  3. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and keep warm.

Cooking the Lobster

  1. 6

    Preheat the Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill to medium heat or your oven to broil.

  2. 7

    Cook the Lobster

Place the prepared lobster tails on the grill or in the oven. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and easily flakes with a fork.

  3. 8

    Baste with Butter

During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the lobster meat with the prepared butter sauce for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Remove the lobster from the grill or oven and place it on a serving plate. Drizzle with any remaining butter sauce.

  2. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired. Serve immediately.
