Bean Dip
Method
Preparation
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef (if using)
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- 2
Combine the Bean Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the refried beans and house made salsa. Mix until well combined.
- 3
Layer the Ingredients
In an oven-safe dish, spread the bean and salsa mixture evenly across the bottom. If using ground beef, layer it over the bean mixture.
- 4
Add Toppings
Spread the sour cream over the mixture. Then, sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top, followed by the diced tomatoes and sliced green onions.
Baking
- 5
Bake the Dip
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the layered dip in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- 6
Serve with Tortilla Chips
Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
