Method

Preparing the Country Potatoes

  1. 1

    Step 1: Cook the Potatoes

Wash and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 10 minutes or until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Step 3: Combine and Season

Add the boiled potatoes to the skillet with the onions and bell peppers. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 4

    Step 1: Prepare the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter or heat the oil over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Step 2: Cook the Eggs

Crack the eggs into the skillet. For sunny-side up, cook for about 3-4 minutes until the whites are set but the yolk remains runny. For over-easy, flip the eggs and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Optional Add-ons

  1. 6

    Step 1: Prepare the Add-ons

If adding ham, bacon, sausage, or sirloin steak, cook them in a separate pan according to their cooking instructions before serving.
