Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Charbroil the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the seasoned ribeye steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your desired doneness.

Baking the Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the russet potatoes under cold water, then poke holes in them with a fork.

  2. 4

    Bake the Potatoes

Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.

  3. 5

    Add Toppings

Once baked, remove the potatoes from the oven, slice them open, and top with butter, sour cream, and chives.

Cooking the Vegetables

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the mixed fresh vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil and sauté the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.

Optional Add-ons

  1. 8

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 9

    Sauté the Mushrooms and Onions

In the same skillet, add mushrooms and onions, cooking until they are soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 10

    Serve with Bleu Cheese

Crumble bleu cheese over the steak just before serving, and add bacon, mushrooms, and onions on top if desired.
