Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Ensure the tiger prawns are peeled and deveined. Mince the garlic, grate the ginger, and slice the green onions. Chop the fresh cilantro and cut lemon into wedges for garnish.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 3

    Cook the Aromatics

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.

  3. 4

    Add the Prawns

Add the tiger prawns to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until they start to turn pink.

  4. 5

    Spice It Up

Sprinkle the red chili flakes, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the prawns. Mix well to ensure the prawns are evenly coated in the spices.

  5. 6

    Add Butter

Reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Stir until melted and the prawns are fully coated in the spicy butter mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until prawns are opaque and fully cooked.

  6. 7

    Finish and Serve

Remove from heat. Stir in the sliced green onions and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
