Method

Prepare the Egg Mixture

  1. 1

    Whisk Ingredients Together

In a medium bowl, crack 2 eggs and whisk them together with 1 cup of milk, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, 1 tsp of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Cook the Meat

  1. 2

    Prepare Your Choice of Meat

In a skillet over medium heat, cook your choice of bacon, ham, or sausage until fully cooked and golden brown. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the French Toast

  1. 3

    Heat the Skillet

In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

  2. 4

    Dip and Cook the Toast

Take each slice of Texas toast and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Place the coated toast in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Serve

  1. 5

    Plating

Once the French toast is cooked, serve it hot on a plate alongside the cooked meat. Optionally, you can dust the French toast with powdered sugar or drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
