Chicken Marinade

Sandwich Assembly

Method

Chicken Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine the Cajun seasoning, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for more flavor.

Cooking the Chicken

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and has nice grill marks. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Rolls

While the chicken rests, slice the steak rolls in half horizontally. If desired, lightly toast them on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each side of the rolls. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half, followed by a slice of grilled chicken. Top with a slice of tomato and close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm with your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
