Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Seasonal Vegetables

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Take the ribeye steak and rub it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Making Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a teaspoon of salt and bring to a boil.

  2. 4

    Boil and Mash

Once boiling, cook the potatoes until they are tender (about 15-20 minutes). Drain and return to the pot. Add the butter and minced garlic cloves, then mash with a potato masher.

  3. 5

    Add Milk and Season

Stir in the milk, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix until creamy and smooth. Keep warm until serving.

Preparing Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 6

    Chop the Vegetables

Wash and chop the carrots, zucchini, and bell pepper into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped vegetables, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes or until tender-crisp.
