Method
Prime Rib Preparation
- 1
Season the Prime Rib
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, rosemary, and thyme. Rub the prime rib with olive oil, then generously coat it with the seasoning mixture.
- 2
Roast the Prime Rib
Place the seasoned prime rib in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until it reaches your desired doneness (use a meat thermometer for accuracy). Let the prime rib rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Sandwich
Slice the baguette or sandwich rolls in half. Layer each half with slices of prime rib, top with provolone cheese, and spread horseradish sauce on one side. Add a handful of arugula or mixed greens on top before closing the sandwich.
