Toasted Ciabatta Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Salad

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Begin by gathering all salad ingredients. Slice the fresh mozzarella into bite-sized cubes. Wash and slice the ripe tomatoes into wedges.

  2. 2

    Combine the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the mozzarella cubes, tomato wedges, and fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Gently toss to combine all ingredients, ensuring the mozzarella and tomatoes are evenly coated.

Toasting the Ciabatta

  1. 3

    Prepare the Ciabatta

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise to create two long pieces.

  2. 4

    Add Olive Oil

Brush the cut sides of the ciabatta with olive oil, ensuring an even coating to help achieve a golden crust.

  3. 5

    Toast the Bread

Place the ciabatta halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Toast in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Once the ciabatta is toasted, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve the prepared Caprese salad in small cups or bowls alongside the toasted ciabatta. Enjoy as a fresh appetizer or snack!
