Taco Preparation
- 1
Prepare Taco Shells
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the hard shell taco shells on a baking tray and heat them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until they are warm and slightly crispy.
Filling Preparation
- 2
Cook the Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Add Seasoning
Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat. Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Taco Assembly
- 4
Assemble the Tacos
Take each warm taco shell and fill them with an equal amount of the seasoned ground beef mixture. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, a dollop of crema, and a generous sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
