Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Season the Patty

Season the Angus beef patty with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the seasoned patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest.

Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Vegetables

  1. 4

    Prepare Vegetables

Slice the tomato and wash the mixed greens. Set aside for assembly.

Pepper Jack Fondue

  1. 5

    Make the Fondue

In a saucepan over low heat, combine the pepper jack cheese and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Add garlic powder and mix well. Remove from heat.

Cider Onion Jam Mayo

  1. 6

    Mix Mayo

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and cider onion jam. Mix until well blended and set aside for assembly.

Crispy Potato Nest

  1. 7

    Prepare Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Grate them using a box grater or food processor.

  2. 8

    Fry the Potato Nest

Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Shape the grated potatoes into nest shapes and carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Burger Assembly

  1. 9

    Toast the Bun

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Place the burger bun cut-side down and toast until golden brown.

  2. 10

    Assemble the Burger

Spread the cider onion jam mayo on the bottom bun. Place the cooked beef patty on top, followed by the crispy bacon, tomato slice, mixed greens, and drizzle with pepper jack fondue. Top with the other half of the bun.

  3. 11

    Add Potato Nest

Place the crispy potato nest on top of the assembled burger for an added crunch.
