Method
Burger Patty Preparation
- 1
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
- 2
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, approximately 3/4 inch thick.
- 3
- 4
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. If using cheese, add it during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
Special Sauce Preparation
- 5
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well until smooth.
Assembling the Burger
- 6
Slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- 7
On the bottom half of each bun, spread a generous amount of the special sauce.
- 8
Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by the cooked burger patty, a slice of tomato, pickles, and then the top half of the bun.
