Cooking Ingredients

Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Trim any excess fat from the chicken breasts and cut them into tender-sized pieces, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Season the Chicken

In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt and black pepper. Make sure they are evenly coated and set aside for 10 minutes.

Breading Process

  1. 3

    Set Up Breading Station

Prepare three shallow dishes. In the first dish, place the all-purpose flour. In the second dish, beat the eggs. In the third dish, mix the breadcrumbs with garlic powder and paprika.

  2. 4

    Coat the Chicken

Take each seasoned chicken piece and dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well.

Cooking the Tenders

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. You will know it is ready when a breadcrumb dropped in the oil sizzles immediately.

  2. 6

    Fry the Chicken Tenders

Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders into the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. 7

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Serve warm.
