Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still firm to the bite. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Roast the Garlic

If you haven't already roasted the garlic, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wrap the garlic cloves in aluminum foil and roast for about 20-25 minutes until soft and caramelized. Allow to cool, then squeeze out the roasted garlic from the skins.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the roasted garlic and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 4

    Mix in Edamame

Add the cooked edamame to the skillet with the melted butter and roasted garlic. Stir to coat the edamame evenly with the buttery garlic mixture.

  3. 5

    Add Sunflower Seeds and Parmesan

Sprinkle the sunflower seeds and grated parmesan cheese over the edamame and mix well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the edamame mixture to a serving bowl. Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.
