Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together in a microwave or over a double boiler until smooth, stirring occasionally.
- 3
Mix the Batter
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until smooth.
- 4
Add Dry Ingredients
Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the chocolate mixture. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the batter until just combined.
- 5
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.
- 6
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. The edges should be firm, but the center should still be soft.
- 7
Cool Slightly
Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for about 1 minute.

Serve with Ice Cream
Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate. The molten center should flow out. Serve immediately with scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side.
