Method

Prepare the Chipotle Aioli

  1. 1

    Make the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced chipotle peppers, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Mix well until smooth. Set aside.

Cook the Vegetables

  1. 2

    Caramelize Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil. Add sliced onions and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized.

  2. 3

    Sauté Bell Peppers

In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until tender. Mix with the caramelized onions and set aside.

Cook the Ribeye

  1. 4

    Sear the Ribeye

In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high. Add the sliced ribeye steak and cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until the meat is cooked through. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Cheesesteak

  1. 5

    Layer Ingredients

On a toasted hoagie roll, layer the cooked ribeye, followed by the caramelized onions and bell peppers. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

  2. 6

    Prepare Havarti Cheese Fondue

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the shredded Havarti cheese until smooth and creamy. Drizzle the melted cheese over the cheesesteak.

  3. 7

    Finish with Aioli

Spread a generous amount of the chipotle aioli on the top half of the hoagie roll before closing the sandwich.

Toast the Hoagie

  1. 8

    Butter and Toast

Spread softened butter on the outside of each hoagie roll. Place them on a skillet or griddle over medium heat and toast until golden brown.
