Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.

Roasting

  1. 3

    Season the Brussels Sprouts

In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  2. 4

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down for better caramelization.

  3. 5

    Roast

Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through.

Preparing the Balsamic Glaze

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey.

  2. 7

    Simmer

Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it has thickened to a syrupy consistency.

  3. 8

    Cool

Remove from heat and let the glaze cool slightly before using.

Finishing Touch

  1. 9

    Glaze the Brussels Sprouts

Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, drizzle the balsamic glaze over them and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
