Chicken Wings

Whiskey Sauce

Method

Preparing the Wings

  1. 1

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine chicken wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder. Toss until wings are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oil

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Make sure the oil is hot before frying to achieve crispy wings.

  3. 3

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add seasoned chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove wings and drain on paper towels.

Making the Whiskey Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine whiskey, soy sauce, honey, hot sauce, and minced garlic. Stir well.

  2. 5

    Thicken the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Slowly add this mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly over medium heat until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

Tossing and Serving

  1. 6

    Toss Wings in Sauce

In a large bowl, add the fried wings and pour the whiskey sauce over them. Toss until wings are thoroughly coated with the sauce.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve the whiskey wings hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side.
