Preparing the Wings

Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine chicken wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder. Toss until wings are evenly coated.

Preheat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Make sure the oil is hot before frying to achieve crispy wings.

Fry the Wings
Carefully add seasoned chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove wings and drain on paper towels.

Thicken the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Slowly add this mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly over medium heat until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
Tossing and Serving

Toss Wings in Sauce
In a large bowl, add the fried wings and pour the whiskey sauce over them. Toss until wings are thoroughly coated with the sauce.
