Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling an old-fashioned or rocks glass. Fill the glass with ice and set it aside while you prepare the drink.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in 2 oz of bourbon, 0.5 oz of simple syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled and properly diluted.

Garnish and Serve
Express the oils of an orange twist over the drink and then drop it into the glass as garnish. Serve immediately.
