Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinating the Steak (Optional)

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and fresh rosemary. Place the ribeye steaks in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steaks. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for a stronger flavor.

  2. 2

    Seasoning the Steak

Remove the steaks from the marinade (if used) and pat dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of each steak with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C). If using a charcoal grill, prepare the coals until they are covered with gray ash.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Place the seasoned steaks on the hot grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare, or until nicely charred. Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side.

  3. 5

    Check Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should register at 130°F (54°C). Cook longer if a higher doneness is desired.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat.
