Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Make Honey Simple Syrup

Combine equal parts honey and hot water in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until honey is fully dissolved. Allow it to cool before using.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Old Forester Rye, 0.5 oz of honey simple syrup, and 2 dashes of cherry vanilla bitters. Fill the shaker with ice.

  3. 3

    Shake Well

Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients thoroughly.

  4. 4

    Pour and Top with Nitro

Strain the mixture into a chilled glass and then top with 4 oz of nitrogenated water. Allow the nitro to create a creamy texture and head.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Optionally, garnish with a cherry or a twist of lemon peel. Serve immediately.
