Garlic Bone Marrow Butter Ingredients

Method

Garlic Bone Marrow Butter Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bone Marrow

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bone marrow, cut side up, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Roast the Bone Marrow

Roast the bone marrow in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until it is soft and slightly bubbling. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Garlic

While the marrow is roasting, peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely. You can also roast the garlic in the oven wrapped in aluminum foil for a sweeter taste if desired.

  4. 4

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and roasted bone marrow (scooped out from the bones) using a fork or wooden spoon. Mix until well combined.

  5. 5

    Add Flavorings

Add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, sea salt, black pepper, and lemon zest to the butter mixture. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  6. 6

    Chill the Butter

Transfer the garlic bone marrow butter to a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape it into a log and twist the ends to seal. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up before using.

  7. 7

    Serve

Once chilled, slice the butter into rounds and serve on warm bread, steak, or vegetables. Enjoy your delicious garlic bone marrow butter!
