Burger Preparation

Prepare the Ground Beef
In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently without overworking the meat, then divide into 4 equal portions.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Hash Browns
In the same skillet, add the hash browns and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Remove and set aside.

Smash the Burgers
Increase the heat to high and place the beef patties in the skillet. Use a spatula to smash the patties down for about 10 seconds. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, layer the lettuce, tomato (sliced), red onion (sliced), and pickles. Add two burger patties, top with crispy bacon, and finally, the fried egg. Place the top half of the bun on.
