Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water, then dry using a salad spinner or by patting with paper towels. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Croutons
Once the romaine is ready, add the croutons evenly over the top of the lettuce in the salad bowl.
- 3
Add Parmesan Cheese
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the romaine and croutons in the salad bowl.
Dressing Preparation
- 4
Make the Dressing
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, anchovy paste, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.
- 5
Season the Dressing
Taste the dressing and add salt and black pepper to your liking. Mix well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
Assembly
- 6
Combine Salad and Dressing
Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad in the large bowl. Use tongs to gently toss the salad until all components are evenly coated with dressing.
- 7
Serve
Plate the Caesar salad into individual bowls or plates. Optionally, garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper before serving.
