Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients, add eggs, and mix until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together to create the filling.

  4. 4

    Shape the Rolls

Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top, then roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.

  5. 5

    Second Rise

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.

  6. 6

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Icing

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.

  8. 8

    Serve

Drizzle the cream cheese icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy!
