Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

In a bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the chicken breasts.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let rest.

  3. 3

    Prepare Spicy Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Mix well until smooth.

  4. 4

    Crispy Shallots

Thinly slice the shallots and fry them in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the pretzel buns in half. Spread spicy aioli on both sides of the buns. Layer with arugula, the cooked chicken breast, tomato slices, Swiss cheese, and crispy shallots. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Spiced Chicken sandwich!
