For Frying

Method

Preparation of Marinara Sauce

  1. 1

    Cook the Marinara Sauce

In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes. Add oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

  3. 3

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Preparation of Stadium Sticks

  1. 4

    Prepare the Cheese

Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks, about 1/2 inch thick and 3 inches long.

  2. 5

    Wrap the Cheese

Place a cheese stick on a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold the wrapper over the cheese and press to seal tightly. Repeat with the remaining cheese and wrappers.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Sticks

Carefully add the wrapped cheese sticks to the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.

  5. 8

    Drain and Cool

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried sticks and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
