Make the Batter
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Breading Process
- 5
Prepare Breading
In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
- 6
Coat the Cheese Curds
Dip each cheddar cheese curd into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Set aside on a plate.
Frying

Fry Cheese Curds
Carefully add the breaded cheese curds to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9
Drain
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried cheese curds and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving
- 10
Serve
Serve the cheddar cheese curds hot with your choice of dipping sauce, like ranch dressing or a spicy Sriracha sauce.
