Pulled Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and rub the mixture of smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper over the pork. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Pork

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the pork shoulder in the smoker and cook for approximately 8-10 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (91°C).

  3. 3

    Rest and Shred

Remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. After resting, shred the pork using two forks.

  4. 4

    Mix with Sauce

In a large bowl, combine the shredded pork with apple cider vinegar and sweet smoky gold or bourbon sauce. Mix well to ensure the pork is well coated.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the pulled pork on buns with a generous portion of slaw on top, if desired.
