Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic, sautéing until mushrooms are tender and golden, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking, covering with a lid to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns if desired. Place the patty on the bottom half of the bun, top with sautéed mushrooms and onions, add lettuce and tomato, and cover with the top half of the bun.
