Wings
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Preparation of Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Coating the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss the wings in the flour mixture until they are evenly coated.
- 3
Heating the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Frying the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
Draining the Wings
Once cooked, remove the wings with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 6
Saucing (Optional)
Toss the fried wings in your sauce of choice immediately after frying.
- 7
Baking for Well Done
For wings that are well done, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place fried wings in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, tossing halfway through.
